Sahaj Shankh Mudra for piles



The Sahaj Shankh Mudra is a hand gesture or gesture of yoga that is believed to have various health benefits, including helping with conditions like piles (hemorrhoids).
In the realm of holistic healing practices, the Sahaj Shankh Mudra has gained attention for its potential benefits in relieving symptoms associated with piles or hemorrhoids. This mudra, also known as the “Conch Shell Mudra”.Mudras are thought to influence the flow of energy within the body and stimulate specific areas, promoting balance and healing.

The Sahaj Shankh Mudra is performed as follows:

Step – 1:

Sit in a comfortable position, preferably in a quiet and peaceful environment.

Step – 2:

Straighten your back and relax your shoulders.

Step – 3:

Place your hands on your lap or thighs, palms facing upward.

Step – 4:

Touch the tip of the thumb to the tip of the index finger while keeping the other three fingers extended.

Step – 5:

Take a few slow, deep breaths while closing your eyes.


This mudra is believed to have a calming and balancing effect on the body and mind. It is said to help with digestive issues and may potentially provide relief from conditions like piles. However, there is limited scientific evidence to support the specific effects of this mudra on hemorrhoids.

How long Sahaj Shankh Mudra should be practised?

This Mudra should be practiced daily in Vajraasan or Sukhaasan for ten minutes a day.

When to do Sahaj Shankh Mudra?

This Mudra can be practiced at any part of the day. But it is beneficial to practice it in the early hours of the morning. Doing this mudra daily early morning helps in  calming digestive issues and in reducing the problems related to Slip disc problem.

The Sahaj Shankh Mudra is also called ‘Conch Shell Gesture’. Just like a conch is a symbol of auspiciousness, removes negativity, on performing shankh mudra our negative thoughts, energies, and impurities in our spiritual path get vanished.
